Dr. Arunalok Bhattacharya 

Renowned Child Specialist | Deputy Director, Institute of Child Health 

Dr. Arunaloke Bhattacharyya is one of the leading Child specialists of Kolkata. He has been practicing medicine for over 30 years and is very passionate and committed towards helping those in need. Currently serving as the Deputy Director in the Institute of Child Heath Kolkata, his calling in life as a paediatrician has led him to be involved with the Uma Guha Foundation in order to make healthcare accessible and affordable for the multitude of children belonging to the underprivileged sections of society. Arunaloke is a nature lover and a photography enthusiast and likes to spend his free time photographing the various bird species in West Bengal and the other parts of the country.  

A respected name in pediatric medicine, Dr. Arunalok Bhattacharya brings decades of experience in child health and clinical care. As an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Child Health, he is not only a skilled clinician but also a dedicated academic shaping the next generation of pediatricians. 

As a mentor to LegMed, Dr. Bhattacharya provides invaluable guidance in developing child-focused health programs, early intervention models, and community pediatric care. His dedication to ethical, compassionate, and accessible child healthcare aligns perfectly with LegMed’s core values.

Ms. Mitali Chatterjee 

Social Worker |  

Ms. Mitali Chatterjee is a passionate social worker committed to uplifting marginalized communities through education, empowerment, and public health awareness. Her hands-on approach and deep empathy make her a pillar of support in our grassroots initiatives. 

As a mentor, she offers strategic insight into sustainable community engagement, women’s health education, and social inclusion. Her work ensures that LegMed’s outreach is rooted in dignity, inclusivity, and long-term impact.  

Ms. Mitali Chatterjee is a dedicated social worker with years of experience in grassroots development, health awareness, and gender empowerment. She has worked extensively in urban and rural settings, helping marginalized communities access education, sanitation, and healthcare services. 

Her role at LegMed focuses on community engagement, health education, and building sustainable support networks. Ms. Chatterjee’s compassionate leadership ensures that LegMed’s initiatives remain inclusive, impactful, and driven by real community needs.  

Ms. Mitali Chatterjee is a devoted social worker whose work spans women’s empowerment, health education, and rural development. With hands-on experience in mobilizing communities and supporting vulnerable populations, she brings a grassroots perspective to LegMed’s outreach efforts. 

Her contributions center around building sustainable community engagement models, especially in health awareness, sanitation, and adolescent health education. At LegMed, she oversees several social impact projects aimed at improving health literacy and empowering local stakeholders through participatory development. 

Mr. Palash Chatterjee 

Eminent IT Personnel | Technology Strategist 

With a leadership role at Ericsson India, Mr. Palash Chatterjee brings to LegMed a dynamic perspective on operational efficiency and digital innovation. His mentorship helps bridge the gap between technology and public service, making our health systems more responsive and scalable. 

He advises on the integration of tech-enabled solutions in healthcare delivery, helping us build more robust outreach models and data-driven impact assessments across our projects.  

Mr. Palash Chatterjee brings strong expertise in project management, telecom infrastructure, and digital innovation through his leadership role at Ericsson India. His industry experience helps LegMed Foundation incorporate efficient, technology-driven solutions in public health projects. 

At LegMed, Mr. Chatterjee supports the development of digital health systems, IT-enabled rural outreach programs, and scalable operational frameworks to improve access and accountability in healthcare delivery. 

Mr. Palash Chatterjee brings corporate leadership and technical acumen to LegMed’s board. As a senior project head at Ericsson, he specializes in operational strategy, digital transformation, and scalable infrastructure management. His industry expertise supports LegMed’s efforts in adopting innovative technologies for healthcare delivery and data systems. 

At LegMed, he is instrumental in developing digital health platforms, streamlining project execution, and introducing technology-driven solutions that enhance efficiency and reach in public health initiatives. 

Mr. Sumanta Chatterjee 

Dy. Director, Techno India Group | Education & Innovation Leader | Entrepreneur  

Mr. Sumanta Chatterjee is an influential figure in higher education and institutional leadership, serving as a director of Techno India Group. His commitment to academic excellence and social responsibility aligns with LegMed’s emphasis on knowledge-based community development. 

Through his mentorship, Mr. Chatterjee guides our initiatives at the intersection of health and education — from rural health education campaigns to capacity-building programs for medical and paramedical staff. His forward-thinking vision fuels our drive toward innovation-led impact. 

Mr. Sumanta Chatterjee is an influential figure in the field of education and technology, currently serving as one of the directors of Techno India Group. With a strong background in institutional leadership and innovation, he promotes synergy between education, research, and healthcare. 

At LegMed, he leads initiatives that merge health awareness with education, particularly focusing on youth engagement, rural health education programs, and digital literacy in medical contexts. His vision supports the Foundation’s efforts to foster a well-informed, health-conscious society.  

Mr. Sumanta Chatterjee is an education leader and entrepreneur associated with the Techno India Group, one of India’s leading private educational conglomerates. With a background in technology, academic administration, and innovation-driven initiatives, he brings a strategic education lens to LegMed’s programs. 

At the Foundation, he champions projects that intersect health, education, and research — including digital education in rural health, medical training programs, and youth health awareness campaigns. His efforts support LegMed’s commitment to knowledge-sharing and capacity-building across all levels of healthcare delivery.

Adv. Tammal Chatterjee 

Director | LegMed Foundation & Research  

Legal Advisor, Policy Consultant, Advocate –High Court (Calcutta) | B.A.(H.), LL.B., LL.M., PGDPML 

A senior advocate specializing in medico-legal frameworks, human rights, and healthcare law. Advocate Tamal Chatterjee completed his law in the year 2012 and has been providing services in various fields of law, that is, Arbitration, Consumer Court, Medical Negligence, Armed Forces Tribunal, and drafting and vetting of various agreements and documents. Mr. Chatterjee enrolled with the Bar Council of West Bengal in 2012. He brings unmatched expertise in regulatory governance and is instrumental in ensuring LegMed’s legal transparency and justice-focused mission. 

A renowned strategist with over 13 years of experience in health system strengthening and policy reform. Mr. Chatterjee has led several national quality audits and serves as a mentor to multiple health-focused NGOs and think tanks. 

With over two decades of experience at leadership level in the corporate sector he established his own practice as a Management Consultant, collaborating with numerous Indian and global brands.  

In 2025, Mr. Chatterjee joined hands with some of his like-minded friends to set up LegMed Foundation & Research. Advocate Tammal Chatterjee brings to the LegMed Foundation a wealth of expertise in legal frameworks, regulatory policy, and public health law. As a seasoned legal practitioner and policy consultant, he has played an instrumental role in advising healthcare organizations, research institutions, and non-profits on issues ranging from ethical compliance to health rights advocacy. 

With a strong foundation in constitutional and administrative law, Mr. Chatterjee champions the integration of legal oversight in healthcare delivery and biomedical research. His vision for LegMed is rooted in strengthening transparency, accountability, and equitable access in medical systems. He also leads the Foundation’s legal and regulatory initiatives, ensuring all programs operate within a robust ethical and lawful structure. 

Advocate Chatterjee’s guidance helps LegMed navigate the complex intersections of law, medicine, and public interest with clarity and conviction. He has spearheaded the scaling up of the organization since inception, helping it evolves from an idea to a social institution of repute. 

Dr. Anamitra Jana 

Director | LegMed Foundation & Research 

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Clinical Administrator- Healthcare  

Dr. Ananmitra Jana serves as a key scientific and academic leader on the Board of Directors at LegMed Foundation & Research. With extensive clinical and research experience, Dr. Jana specializes in pharmacology, translational medicine, and rational drug use. His work bridges clinical science with public health, aiming to improve therapeutic outcomes while ensuring ethical research practices. 

Dr. Jana has been actively involved in national and international research collaborations, particularly in areas related to drug safety, pharmacovigilance, and patient-centred innovation. His strategic insight helps guide the Foundation’s research direction, training programs, and public health initiatives. 

A management professional with expertise in NGO operations, public-private partnerships, and financial sustainability. Dr. Jana plays a key role in operationalizing LegMed’s vision through measurable, scalable, and efficient strategies. An experienced grassroots leader and development communicator, Dr. Jana ensures LegMed stays deeply connected to the communities it serves—shaping outreach strategies that are culturally relevant, inclusive, and rights-based.
